This a great place to eat. The chef has a very interesting thing going on here. The food is unique to the region, and service was very satisfying. I ate here twice during my visit and I was completely happy with the experience. This town needs to be visited more often.

A delicious experience for those excited enough to adventure to Zapotitlan Salinas, we enjoyed the meal and made sure to choose local dishes that feature the plants and flavors of the region. They also have local Popsicles and blended drinks of local cactus fruits and other foods such as dried cactus fruits, salt, and mezcal.

Went there for some directions and ended up staying for food and it did not disappoint. Ate a large variety of different cactus fruits, flowers and some insects. The staff were great, let us leave our backpacks whilst we walked around town and even waved down our colectivo for us as we nearly missed the last one of the day!

Nice little restaurant with lots of food options, many of which are made with native ingredients from the region. I had the "tostadas de tetechas con pata en escabeche" (second photo) and the "frijoles con tempesquiscles" (first photo). Both dishes were pretty good, though I probably wouldn't have the tostadas again since I found the "pata" quite sticky. There's not anything wrong with the dish, is just personal taste! But if you're adventurous and keen to try new flavours, give them a go!!!

Traditional food with some exotic cactus flowers and insects. Carambullo juice was perfect for the hot weather. Great service and affordable price.
